Submitted by h1kari on Tue, 06/30/2009 - 19:07.

Alright guys, we're getting close to the camp so we're posting our final map here. Also, for those of you who didn't get your registration email the site is located here.

Also, for the record, ToorCamp is a private event. If you're deciding to come at the last minute, we aren't accepting any registration at the door so please register online before you come and notify the gate staff that you registered late.

We're looking forward to seeing you all here soon!

ToorCamp Updates!

Submitted by h1kari on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 08:43.

A lot of stuff has happened today! We've announced our preliminary lineups for both talks and workshops! We've also announced that Ignite will be holding an event at the camp on Friday, July 3rd, and monochrom will be doing a special performance for the 4th of July festivities!

Also, the bad news is that unfortunately registration prices have just gone up but the good news is that due to popular demand we're providing a discounted "Hacker Faire" ticket to the camp that will get you in for just the weekend (Sat-Mon) for people who just want to attend the workshops and 4th of July festivities.

Rental Equipment now available!

Submitted by h1kari on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 06:43.

NOTE: Rental equipment rental is now CLOSED.

We are offering camping equipment rental at the camp. If you are traveling from out of state and want to be able to rent a tent, mattress, and/or sleeping bag you can purchase your rentals on our Rental Equipment page. The equipment will be available for pickup at the ToorCamp store on-site and you must return the equipment before you leave the camp.

We are hoping that this will make it easier for people catching flights into the camp and will provide a cheaper alternative than paying extra checked baggage fees at the airport and is definitely cheaper than renting a motel room nearby.

Also, we'd like to pre-announce that Hackers on a Plane (HoAP) will be organizing a flight into ToorCamp from Europe! HoAP tickets will include camping equipment rental.

United Express flying to Grant County International Airport (MWH)

Submitted by h1kari on Tue, 04/14/2009 - 17:23.

It looks like United Express will begin flying from SEA to MWH (only around 30 min away from the Silo) starting June 4th. Round trip flights between SEA and MWH are currently ranging ~$170-$180 but you should be able to book tickets directly to MWH through SEA. We're currently looking into providing a shuttle service between MWH and the Silo during some of the days. For now, if you're flying to MWH, please post your flight info to the Rideshare forums so we can plan our shuttle sizes and bus pickup times accordingly.

More Pictures from Silo Visit this weekend

Submitted by h1kari on Mon, 04/13/2009 - 17:59.

We spent this weekend following fiber around Central Washington and scouting out all of our options for connectivity for the camp. While we were out there, the Silo owners were kind enough to give us another tour of the facility and Matt Peterson took some awesome pictures. Here's a sneak peek of what to expect at ToorCamp!
