So you're in the middle of the desert and they tell you to stand up a secure network infrastructure...

This presentation will look at modern tools from the open source community that can be used to put together a secure and robust network infrastructure under ad-hoc conditions. Like after an earthquake. Or in the middle of the forest. Or at Toorcamp. We'll look at some specific technical details that you can use to set up a full-on network infrastructure including use of open source wireless, authentication and crypto infrastructure support, network relay support in the absence of a national network infrastructure, and how to set up role-based access control in the middle of the woods using only Linux live cd's. P.s. show up ready to help build something like this as a Toorcamp project.
